Ingrid Harding

Ingrid Harding is a co-founder of the Rett Syndrome Research Trust. Her inspiration comes from her daughter, Sarah, who has a neurological disorder similar to Rett syndrome called Pitt Hopkins syndrome. Ingrid is founder and former executive director of Girl Power 2 Cure, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding for Rett syndrome that has contributed over $1 million to RSRT.

Prior to her involvement in the Rett community, Ingrid was CEO and program director for PlayhouseRadio.com, the first children’s online music community. In 1998 she founded Porch Publishing, Inc., a publishing company dedicated to helping self-published authors break into the retail world. She has also served as managing editor of Discover Texas Magazine and as a photojournalist for the U.S. Army.

Ingrid received her undergraduate degree in French and education from Davidson College in North Carolina. She resides in Amelia Island, Fla., with her three children and husband, Peter, an internal medicine physician.
