A personal message to families
No one knows Rett Syndrome like the families who live it, day in and day out. The promise of research for the lives of the loved ones we embrace has an importance to us that is beyond what any kind observer or friend can experience. We have the most to win, and the most to lose.
For me, the quest for a cure is personal; I have a daughter with Rett Syndrome. I am honored by the engagement and passion of the extraordinary scientists whose work will take us forward. I ask you to equal their brilliance and commitment with the intensity and generosity of your support.
With the next steps clearly defined, there is a direct correlation between the time it takes to complete this phase and the resources we are able to raise. The Trust has been structured as a lean, focused, science-driven operation. We hope you are encouraged by my track record and the outstanding accomplishments of the researchers on our team, and ask that you donate generously of your time and resources to speed our efforts.
