Financial information

The Rett Syndrome Research Trust is a recently formed 501(c)(3) organization (tax ID: 26-0687439). Audited financials and 990 for 2008 are now available. Please see links below.

Our numbers reflect RSRT’s commitment to our current and future supporters: 98% of every dollar donated was channeled directly to our research program.

RSRT has one focus and one focus only: Rett research. In keeping with this focus RSRT committed $2.4 million of funding to Rett Syndrome research projects in 2008, more than any other Rett Syndrome non-profit organization in the world.

RSRT is lean. Our accomplishments thus far were achieved with one staff person along with the commitment of our board of trustees and volunteers.  Our website and logo design, book keeping, rent, administrative travel and more are all provided pro bono. RSRT will continue to allocate resources wisely and transparently.

We believe passionately that Rett Syndrome is reversible. Everything we do, every day, stems from this belief.  The scientists, technologies and ideas are in place. Our next steps are clearly defined. We need your support to continue our work.
